Cats can be picky but you need to feed your cat to meet their nutritional needs. Cats need meat so that should be the primary part of their diet. Some cats like vegetables but these should be given sparingly. There are two general methods for feeding cats  - scheduled mealtimes or free feeding. Wet food is best fed as a scheduled meal so you can control the portion size to prevent obesity. Remove the wet food after a few minutes so it doesn’t spoil throughout the day. Dry foods can be food through free feeding where you fill the bowl throughout the day and your cat eats when they’re hungry. This method makes it harder to control portion size.
