5:39 AM Eastern Box Turtles and Swollen Eyelids |
Always call your vet if your Easter Box turtle ever appears to have something wrong with his eyes or his behavior is abnormal (i.e. he’s lethargic or not eating). Eye injuries, infections, and other eye related illnesses are a common occurrence in many turtles. You can find out what sighs to look out for by talking with your pet store associate or veterinarian. You can help prevent an eye infection by making sure your turtle’s eyes are clean and clear on a routine basis. A swollen eyelid or swollen and infected eye can prevent your turtle from being able to see clearly. In turn, your Eastern Box turtle will not be able to find his food. If this goes on long enough your turtle could start to lose weight and go into starvation mode. Even if you think it’s a small problem, never hesitate to call your veterinarian Sauk Rapids, MN for assistance. Click this link to know more: http://companionsweb.com/ |
