12:22 PM Black Lab Puppy and Tooth Loss |
Did you know that puppies will lose their baby teeth as they grow older? If your Black Lab puppy is missing a tooth or you happen to find a tooth on the floor, then your puppy is most likely going through his tooth loss phase. Just give your vet a call and discuss your findings or set up an appointment for your vet to take a look at your Black Lab puppy. It’s perfectly normal for your pup to lose his teeth as he ages. Dogs typically start to grow their first set of 28 teeth between five and six weeks of age. These teeth are often referred to as baby teeth or deciduous teeth. This set of 28 teeth will start to fall out around eight weeks of age and may continue until twelve weeks of age. Talk with your veterinary clinic Burke, VA to learn more. |
