When you think about taking your cat to the groomer, you probably know that they’re going to give your pet a bath, but that’s not all they can do.
Your groomer will want to give your cat a bath, but they can also make sure your pet’s ears are clean. If your pet’s ears are dirty, they will use a cleaner and a cotton ball to clean out your furry friend’s ear canals.
It can be extremely difficult to clip your cat’s nails. Most felines don’t like having them clipped! Talk to your groomer and they can do this difficult chore for you.
Tired of dealing with all the cat hair in your home? Ask your groomer to spend plenty of time brushing your kitty. If your pet has a hard time with mats and shedding, consider having him shaved.

Looking for your first pet bird? Want an easy keeper that won’t require a lot of extra work or attention? Check out the Finch. This bird is small, energetic, quiet, and pretty independent. They do best in pairs and can live in cages or aviaries. Their cage needs to be big enough for the bird to stretch its wings and fly from perch to perch. Upkeep includes occasional cage cleaning, refilling food and water. Food can be found in the x-small bird section at your local pet store. Finches come in five types including the American Goldfinch, European Goldfinch, Gouldian, House, Purple and Zebra. They come in a variety of colors as well. The Finch doesn’t care for human interaction. Some can sing but they are relatively quiet. They can live between 5 and 17 years. Talk with your Villa Rica Area, GA veterinary clinic to learn more.

You’re getting ready to bring a feathery friend into your home, and you want to make sure you are able to offer her a place to really be comfortable. What should you look for in a bird cage to make sure this happens?
Your pet needs you to take the time to determine what she needs in a cage based on her preferences and care requirements. This will help you determine the size of the cage, the shape it should be, where perches should be placed, as well as what will need to be contained within this enclosure. Outside of these requirements, you will need to think about how you will arrange your pet’s cage, make sure that she can’t open the door meant to keep her inside, and determine how easy it will be to keep it clean. For more information, please contact your local Pickerington, OH veterinarian.

Rats are fun pets, but some of the reason why they’re so fun is because they are so smart! Unfortunately, that means they can get bored easily. If you want to keep your rat happy, you have to give him new things to do.
That can be easier than you think! Try putting a new chew toy in the cage or giving your critter a treat he’s never had before. That can pique his interest, if only for a moment.
Don’t always make your critter do the same thing when he comes out of the cage. If he has to play in the same playpen every time, he’s going to get bored. Try setting up the playpen somewhere different or let your critter explore the couch.

It isn’t just fleas that can make your dog’s skin itchy. He could just have dry skin! As you’re trying to get to the root of your pet’s problem, try these home remedies that will help reduce the itching so he can relax.
There are some things you can try putting in your pet's food. From plain, low-fat yogurt to coconut oil, you can try fixing your dog's dry skin from the inside out.
If you're looking for immediate relief for your pooch, a topical solution is probably a better idea. Vitamin E capsules can be broken open and massaged directly on itchy skin. Herbal tea soaks, ground oatmeal, and Epsom salt added to bath water can help stop all that itching too.
Remember that it’s important to figure out what’s causing your dog’s dry skin. That means scheduling an appointment with your

Many dogs loving having their very own bed. It gives them a spot in the home that’s all their own! But, just like you have to wash your sheets regularly, you should also clean your dog’s bed.
In a perfect world, you would wash your dog’s bed once a week. If that isn’t possible, strive to wash it at least once a month. You should also add in extra cleanings if your pooch manages to get it really dirty, or if he has fleas.
Some beds can be thrown directly into the washing machine. If not, make sure you cover the bed with a fitted pet bed sheet. That way the sheet can easily be removed and washed.
To make washing your pet’s bed more convenient, make sure you have two beds so your dog can still relax while one of the beds is in the wash!

The Azawakh sight hound was developed in West Africa as a guardian of livestock. His sleek frame and build gives him the ability to move with ease and quickness. The colors of the Azawakh also help him to blend in with his surroundings so that he can come up on predators or prey without being noticed. Common colors include clear sand coloring, dark fawn, dark brown, red and brindle (with or without a dark mask) with white stockings and white on all four feet, along with a white bib, white tail tip. Colors still around in Africa include blue fawn or lilac cast, grizzle, and occasional blue and black coats with markings. The American Kennel Club accepts all colors found in the Azawakh both in the U.S. and the breed colors out of Africa. The breed is said to resemble the Persian Greyhound. For more information, talk with your Conyers, GA veterinary clinic.

Your dog is a big part of your life, and you want to understand her as well as you possibly can. This makes you look at certain behaviors, and try to find the motivation behind them, like digging. Why does she love to do this?
Digging can be a great way for your pet to explore your yard even further. She is a curious creature and loves to be able to find new ways to get information about the world around her. She may have noticed that there is another world underneath your grass, and she wants to check it out. She may also be trying to follow an insect or a rodent who ventured underground. Plus, digging can be a fun way to expel some energy and entertain herself while outside. For more information, please contact your local New Tulsa OK veterinarian.
