7:51 AM Why your cat purrs |
Your cat is a wonderful companion, and there is no one you’d rather be sharing your home with. Her heartwarming purring makes you really appreciate the time you get to spend with her, but sometimes you wonder why she does this. Is there a reason behind her purring? Your cat began purring when she was a kitten as a way to communicate with her mother. She would purr when she was well cared for and comfortable to let her mother know that she was content. Because of this, she associates the action with being calm and relaxed now that she’s reached adulthood. This is why she tends to purr when you are curled up with her on the couch. It’s also why she may purr when she is stressed out to help ease her anxiety. For additional information, please contact your local Cicero, NY vet. |
