5:09 AM Territorial Cats |
Most cats are considered to be territorial and protective over their specifically marked areas. If you’re unsure of bringing another cat into your home because you’re worried about the territorial boundaries of your other cats, please give your vet Crown Point, IN a call for his recommendation. Cats must be socialized with other cats at an early age in order to get along once they grow older. Generally, cats will mark or claim a territory by spraying urine in the area. Cats also scratch things or rub up against furniture, objects, and even people to not only pick up a scent, but to also leave a sent to let other cats know the area has been claimed. It’s important to make sure you call your vet for information and instructions on how to tell if your cat is marking her territory or if something else is going on. Read more here. |
