8:47 PM Do You Have to Groom a Snake? |
Dog nails have to be clipped and cat fur needs to be brushed. You even have to groom some pocket pets! What about reptiles? Do you have to groom a snake? For the most part, you don’t have to groom a snake. Your pet will do most of it on his own. There are no nails to clip or fur to brush. However, snakes do shed from time to time. With the right environment, your snake should be able to shed effectively on his own. However, if you notice that he’s struggling, you may have to provide him with a shallow dish of water. Give him a chance to soak and you may be able to peel away some of the dead skin. Just make sure you don’t pull any skin that isn’t ready. For help assisting your snake while he’s shedding, call your veterinary clinic Dunedin, FL.
