5:30 AM Do Bearded Dragons need their Claws Trimmed? |
Bearded Dragons may have some pretty sharp claws that equip them for all kinds of crawling and climbing. It’s a good idea to keep an eye on his claws in case they need to be trimmed on occasion to prevent injury to himself or others. You may want to call your vet to ask if they will trim the claws for you. Some vets will do this as part of your Bearded Dragon’s regular check-up. If you’re going to do it yourself, then you will need to know a few things first. The claws are in two parts. There is a thicker part extending from the toe and then a thin, razor sharp point that comes off the end of the main claw. You can use nail clippers when the Bearded Dragons are small, but you will need clippers designed for Bearded Dragons later on. Ask your veterinarian Pelham, ON for assistance if needed. Or visit this website to know more. |
