Big dogs, no matter what the breed, needs to be fully trained in the sense of being able to obey commands without hesitation. Your dog needs to snap to attention and obey in order for you to have full control, otherwise anything can happen as a result of lack of handling.

In a public place, if you do not have your dog completely under control, your dog may get loose from your hold and get into all sorts of situations that will have negative results as an example.

Teaching your dog to come to you while it is off its leash (and to obey that command word the FIRST time it hears it) is one of the most important commands.

It is actually a little comical to watch people struggle with the process of naming their new puppy.

Yes, this puppy will have this name for the duration of its life and yes, a name should reflect its personality and temperament.

Unfortunately for the puppy, it usually ends up with a name that suits its owner’s personality or is named after a cool movie character or a rock star.

If the puppy naming was left up to kids, the name would most likely be more appropriate for the puppy and how the puppy looks and acts.

It may be to the family’s benefit to allow the kids to choose the name, after all, they are the ones who will hopefully be providing all of the care for the puppy. You can check out this site of the veterinarian Chico CA to learn more.

The reason rabies is so bad (which many people do not understand why) is because it can be transmitted to people via the saliva of the infected dog.

The symptoms and reactions for both dogs and people is severe and life threatening if not treated immediately.

Effects of rabies includes, but is not limited to, severe hydrophobia which is the fear of drinking water (danger of dehydration), insomnia & paranoia, paralysis and hallucinations.

These symptoms can begin as quickly as two days after being infected, so if you suspect that your dog has come into contact with an animal that has passed on rabies, your dog needs to be seen by the vet immediately and you need to seek medical attention for yourself just to be on the safe side. In order to find out more about this, you can check out this site for the vet Hamilton County.
