Mites are dangerous parasites that can endanger the health of many pets such as dogs, rabbits, gerbils and hamsters. It bears similarities to spiders and it can hide itself in your hamster’s skin virtually without detection.

If your hamster is infected with mites, note that they can be passed on to other animals so if your hamster interacts with other pets in your household, keep them apart for the moment.
