Can Reptiles Be Housed Together In The Same Enclosure?

Unlike cats or dogs, reptiles can suffer from stress when they are housed together in the same enclosure. If you have house lizards, and single housing is not an option, try choosing those that are close in size. Avoid placing males in the same enclosure because of the real risk of fighting and territorial displays. If you are using one cage, make sure that it should be as large as possible. Place visual barriers so the lizards can stay out of each other’s sight. All of the lizards should have easy access to the basking spot, food, and water. But some species of lizards, like rock iguanas, green iguanas, and chameleons are extremely territorial and will become very stressed when they are forced to live with others in the same enclosure.
