When Your Dog is kicking a Bit of Dirt and Grass Over its Stool, it is not Really Trying to bury it

The bluff or rather, the good intentions, your dog kicking up dirt and grass in the attempts to make it “look good” that it is covering its stool.

The feeble attempt usually sends grass and dirt soaring right over the pile of poop, but kudos to your dog for its efforts.

Dogs really do not care, beyond the 5-second dirt tossing, about the exposure and smell of their poop.

It may have to do with the fact that its stool magically disappears and the yard is clean once again. Your dog sees you picking its stool up, so it knows that it will be “handled” by another person in its family, so why worry?

Feel free to check out this website of the veterinary clinic West Houston if you want to learn more about this.
