Living with a Pug

Although they may look silly, pugs are extremely gentle and kind, which makes them great companion dogs. However, living with a pug is a bit different than living with many other dog breeds.

You may want to invest in a good set of ear plugs or a loud fan because pugs snore! If you don’t think you can handle the snoring, consider crate training your pug instead.

Pugs have short, stumpy legs which can make getting around difficult. Purchase a set of pet stairs to help your dog get on the couch, bed, and in the car.

Because pug faces are so wrinkly, you’ll have to clean out the folds of his skin. You may also have to keep an eye on his nose. Any buildup around the nasal passageways can make it even more difficult for your pup to breathe.
