Keeping Dogs Safe in Summer
There is so much to do in summer. The warm weather is so inviting that even your pet can hardly wait to explore the great outdoors. However, there are some dangers that you should be aware of when taking your dog outside during the warm sunny days

Parasites
The warm and dry climate of the summer months creates a favorable environment for ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, and other insects. These parasites may also act as intermediate hosts for diseases that can affect you and your pet.

Fireworks
A dog can be startled and even frightened with the loud noises and sudden flashes of fireworks and may cause him to run wildly seeking for cover. When you know that fireworks will take place at a given time, keeping your dog on a very short leash will make him feel more secure while preventing him from running off.

Seasonal allergies
Fleas, mold, pollen are some of the important potential allergens that abound during summer.
