Keeping your pet’s bowl full can be convenient for you, but unfortunately, it encourages overeating.

Dogs are especially prone to overeating and many dogs wolf down food before they have a chance to tell whether they are full or not. Just like many humans, dogs like the taste of their food and can often overeat.

Instead, feed your cat or dog the proper amount of food for their weight and feed them twice a day. Make sure you choose a high-quality dog or cat food that has all the nutrients your pet needs to stay healthy. Your veterinarian Columbia can also help you discern what your cat’s meows mean.
